Simple cremation, otherwise known as Direct Cremation, is a service provided by funeral homes to families who wish to have their loved ones be cremated without any ceremonies or services. This type of service focuses on the necessities of the family with taking care of the steps of the cremation process and returning their loved one home to them.
Our charge for Direct Cremation includes:
- Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff
- In person conference with funeral director
- Transportation of Remains to Funeral Home
- Required sanitary care and preparation of remains for identification
- A 15-minute private view of loved one with up to 10 people.
- Local Transport of remains to Crematory
- Transportation of cremated remains back to funeral home
- Alternative Cremation Container
- Secure and file death certificate and all necessary permits and fees required for cremation
- Write and publish obituary to our website
- Includes the following Cash Advance Items (Cremation Permit, Medical Examiner Fee $200, and Crematory Fee of $475.)
Not included in the above: Funeral Ceremonies or Merchandise such as an urn. Cash advances such as newspaper, certified copies of the death certificate, and cemetery costs for urn burial.
