Spike MacPhee of Somerville, MA, Norwalk Connecticut, sci-lands on Second Life, Paradox Olbers on FaceBook passed away on November 13, 2019 at the age of 72. Always an engineer, he was pragmatic about his health and grateful for the time he had.

An avid science proponent, Spike followed every rocket launch, space mission, and green energy milestone. He was not just a fan of science fiction, but a patron. From his days as proprietor of the Science Fantasy bookstore in Harvard Square to his later days as an art collector, his greatest joy was encouraging, promoting, and enabling science fiction writers and artists.

He leaves behind his life long friends, Peter and Barbara Marshall of Somerville, his Aunt Betty MacPhee and cousins David MacPhee and Faith Gordon of Connecticut and many friends.

He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
