With most profound sorrow, we announce Yvanne Pierre-Louis, age 83, passed on November 5, 2022.

Yvanne was a single hardworking, loving, caring, soft-spoken, selfless, and compassionate woman of Christ. She was born on February 20, 1939, in Jeremie, Haiti, until she was a teenager. As a young woman, she moved to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to find work while creating a life for herself. Soon after she gave birth to her only son whom she raised on her own in addition to the support of her siblings.

Yvanne was the daughter of Mr. Ambroise Pierre-Louis and Mrs. Anne Olice. She is the fifth child out of ten, with six still living. Her only living son Ernst Pierre-Louis whom she adored and loved very much with her daughter-in-law Soledad Volcy Pierre-Louis. She had 3 grandchildren, Steven Pierre-Louis with his wife Sue Pierre-Louis and their daughter Jade, Travis Pierre-Louis, and Erby Pierre-Louis.

Yvanne was a member of the New Covenant Haitian Church of Cambridge in Waltham for over 30 years. A couple of years ago Yvanne's health declined, and she needed 24-hour care, and she resided at Care One at Concord, MA where she received excellent care and spent her last days.

A funeral service in memory of Yvanne will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 8 A.M. New Covenant Church of Cambridge 527 Main Street Waltham, MA 02452. Viewing will be held from 8 A.M. - 9 A.M. with services following immediately after. Procession to the cemetery will follow at Cambridge Cemetery 76 Coolidge Ave Cambridge, MA 02138.
