Obituary

Wilfrid Julce – Of Somerville, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Wilfrid was born in Desdunes and educated in Gonaïves and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He was the beloved son of the late Pierre and Emmiset (Julien) Julce.

Wilfrid was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loved ones. Becoming a grandfather was one of the happiest moments of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, finding peace and fulfillment in their presence.

He also loved to travel, especially with his beloved wife, Evelyn, with whom he shared many wonderful journeys and memories. At home, Wilfrid found comfort and pride in tending to his garden, where he spent countless hours cultivating beauty and tranquility. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his gentle spirit, and the love and joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him.

Beloved wife of 39 years to Evelyne (Prince) Julce. Devoted father of Latoya Julce, Ruben Julce, Wilvens Julce, Stanley Julce, and the late Jeanica "Jenny" Julce, who passed away in 2021 after a tragic accident. Loving brother to many siblings. He is also cherished and lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
