Manning, Theresa (Miscavage)- Of Somerville, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. She was 63 years old.
Born in Boston and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Hardy) Miscavage. Theresa started her career with the City of Cambridge with the fuel assistance department which ended up being a 10 plus year career. She was always willing to help those in need. Upon leaving the City of Cambridge, Theresa had a successful 23-year career as the unit coordinator for Glenridge nursing home. Her passion and drive to help and care for the elderly was immensely inspiring. She would always tell the staff that "This is their home, and we must make sure they are comfortable and happy." In her down time, she loved to go to the casino, play scratch tickets, or watch a cooking show. Theresa enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and always made sure to smile and make others smile. You could always count on Theresa to be wearing an animal print, tie-dye shirt or a bright color. The family requests that you wear your brightest color or animal print to celebrate her. "TT" was beloved by family and many friends.
Theresa is survived by her large family. She was the beloved sister of Ann T. Ragucci and her late husband John, Debora Burdulis and her husband Thomas, Raymond Miscavage, Jr. and his wife Faye, Michele Baker and her husband Christopher, and the late Jean Cory and Mark Miscavage. She is lovingly survived by her niece and caretaker Kim Volz and her husband Scott. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends.
A Funeral procession will be held on Thursday, August 24th at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford at 10:00AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
Interment will be private.
