Suzan Kelly of Lowell, formerly of Somerville and Medford, died on August 23, 2026 after a brief illness.
She was the loving daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Kelly (Manning) and sister of the late Richard Kelly.
She is survived by her sister Patrice, many cousins and longtime friends.
Sue spent 6o years on Boston Ave in Somerville. She was a graduate of St. Clement High School Class of '72 and Fisher Junior College. She worked for the Federal government, initially with the Department of Fish and Wildlife and for the remainder of her career with the US Attorney's Office. She developed many lifelong friendships there and enjoyed the intricacies of the legal system and the challenges it presented. Her retirement afforded her more time to spend with her family and friends and also care for her mother who she was devoted to.
Some of her favorite pastimes included photography, reading, movies and spending time at her favorite place, Hampton Beach.
Sue was a lifelong friend to many people and was always there for support, comfort, advice and compassion. Her beautiful smile and great laugh will always be remembered.
