Foster, Susan M. (Barry) - Of Somerville, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She was 64 years young.

Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Frances L. (Ross) Barry. Sue had a zest for life, she loved to sing and dance around the house to 70's and 80's music. She was known to be the life of the party, the first and last person on the dance floor, and could always make you laugh or smile. Her love for her family was immensely deep, especially for her grandchildren. If she wasn't at home, you could find her walking around the city saying hello to everyone in the neighborhood. She did the Walk For Hunger for over 30 years, raising thousands of dollars in donations to help feed the hungry. Sue loved to host and was especially known for her Christmas Eve and Summer Slam parties. She also enjoyed camping, baking, and making her famous chicken wings.

She was the beloved mother of Nicole Barry, Krystle Zivkovic and her husband Petar, and Stephen Foster all of Somerville. Devoted grandmother of Aidan, Stephen Jacob, and McKenzie. Cherished sister of Patrick Barry, Linda Mele and her husband Joe, Thomas Barry and his wife Dolly, Michael Barry, Phillip Barry, Paul Barry and his wife Sue, Dave Barry, the late Marc Barry, and his surviving wife Marie. She is also lovingly survived by 17 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members.

A funeral procession will be held at the George L. Doherty 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Wednesday July 26th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, Hawthorne St., Somerville at 10:00AM.
