Sujittra Chaturongkul, of Somerville, passed away on Monday, August 19th, following complications from gastric cancer. She was 68 years old.

Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Sujittra was the cherished daughter of Suksiri and Choojit (Anapukdee) Chaturongkul. Her journey to the U.S. marked a significant chapter in her life. She pursued her education with great passion, earning a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and later a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Sujittra was deeply dedicated to her faith, balancing her devotion between Christianity and Buddhism. She contributed her time and talents to various churches, serving with a spirit of generosity and compassion. A devoted Bible scholar and Buddhist devotee, she found profound meaning in both her spiritual and academic pursuits.

She will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her faith, her intellectual curiosity, and her kind-hearted nature. Sujittra leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, and inspiration to all who knew her.

Beloved daughter of the late Suksiri and Choojit (Anapukdee) Chaturongkul. Loving aunt of Richard Fan and Victoria Davis.  Cherished and loving friend of over 40 years to Max Desilets of Cambridge. Also survived by many loving friends and extend family members.
