Robert L. Pedro – A lifelong Somerville resident, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 5, 2022. He was 78.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Somerville, Robert was the son of the late Angelo and Alice (Judkins) Pedro. Robert worked for many years as a laborer. On his down time her loved listening to Elvis, enjoying his Dunkin Donuts and playing with his cat Pepper, she was his baby. His biggest pride and joy were his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Robert was the beloved husband of 60 years to Jean (Cooper) Pedro. He was the devoted father of Sharon Pino and her husband Dom of Seabrook, NH, Karen Moberg and her husband Eric of Mansfield, Robert, Eric and Richard Pedro all of Somerville. The loving grandfather of Dennis Nickerson, Melissa Gundlach, Thomas Pedro, Kaitlyn Reynolds, Jessica Morais, Steven Pedro, Brittney Pedro, Palmira Pedro, Eric Pedro Jr., Ryan Ferrira, Tyler Ferrira and Collin Mirabile. Cherished great grandfather of Jasmine, Lilliana, Landon, Dillon, Melanie, Olivia and Milo. He was the dear brother of Irene Tammaro of NV, Loretta Dowgas of NY and William Pedro of FL, and the late Edward Pedro and sister and brother in-laws. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Wednesday July 13 ^th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

A prayer service will be held at 6:30PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Interment will be private.
