Obituary

Rita T. (Amato) Clark - Of the West End, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was 95 years old.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Barresi) Amato. Rita worked for many years for Mark Stern as a statistical typist and later for GE, where she served as the head secretary for 13 contractors.

Rita was the QUEEN of Jitterbug dancing and won many titles for this.

After her retirement, Rita enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. You could often find her wherever there was a bingo hall, enjoying a game and the company of others. She also loved going to the beach and spending time with her toes in the sand.

Most importantly, Rita cherished her family. She loved spending time with them, whether it was sharing a simple conversation, enjoying a laugh, or simply being together. Her family was her greatest joy, and it was where her heart truly belonged

Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Clark, Jr. Devoted mother of Paula Clark and her late husband Jack Leffel of Revere, Mary Rose Clark of Revere, and Thomas J. Clark III of Somerville. Cherished grandmother of Robert Richards, Teresa Lyons, Jay Leffel, Jacqueline Leffel and Nina Leffel. Loving great-grandmother of Maureen, Matthew, Dakota, Robert, Logan and Avena. Dear sister of the late Natalie Amato, Salvatore Amato, Mary Paolini, and Margaret Bobier. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
