Rita E. "Betty" (Quinn) McEwen, 84 of Somerville, passed away after a brief illness.

Rita was the beloved wife of the late James McEwen. She was the loving mother of James McEwen and his wife Linda, Linda McEwen and her husband Brett Pennell, Patricia Kennedy and her husband John, Susan Buccelli and her husband Michael and Sheila Sousa and her husband Daniel. Loving grandmother of Derek, Corey, Kristen, Connor, James, Cameron, Elizabeth and Kaleigh, Caring sister of Jacqueline Ducharme and her husband Paul, Donald Quinn and his wife Jeanne, Cheryl Anderson and her husband Billy and the late Dickie Quinn and Jeanne Quinn.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday, February 24th at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Ann Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Calling Hours Thursday 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
