Carbone, Richard F. Affectionately known as Richie passed away on Monday, November 27th surrounded by his husband and loving family. He was 58 years young.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Nancy L. (Canavan) Carbone. Richie had a great sense of humor and often used his humor to put others at ease and to make them smile. He loved to make others laugh so hard, they would have tears running from their eyes and their bellies would hurt. Seeing that his humor made people laugh and feel good, always brought him joy.  His care for others was so genuine and pure.  Whenever he met someone new he made them feel as if they were family. Richie never met a stranger he didn't make his friend. His greatest love of all was for his husband and family. He would always boast with pride whenever he would talk about them. Richie loved being an uncle, it brought him the utmost happiness to spend time with his nieces and nephews.

He was a talented hair stylist in Brookline for many years. His clients loved him so much that many became close friends.

Richie was the beloved husband of 40 years to Laurence "Larry" Bouvier. He was the devoted brother of Christine Stotts and her husband Bruce, Millie Melanson, Nancy Lee Baker and her husband Michael, Bryan Carbone and his wife Shelia, and Robin Callinan. Loving dad to their fur-baby Bucca. Cherished brother-in-law of Stephen Bouvier and his wife Ketra, Jacqueline Basey and her husband Carl, Clifford Bouvier, Laurene Spiess and her husband Jason, Timothy Bouvier and his wife Lisa, and Andrea Pease and her husband Erick. He is also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday, November 30th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 12:00PM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Interment will be private.
