Obituary

Rebecca (Bekan) Knox died April 29,2022 at the Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, MA peacefully after a long illness.

Bekan graduated from MT. Pleasant Senior High School, Wilmington, Delaware class of 1961. She was the class of 1965 of Pembroke College (now part of Brown University) with a BA in biology. Bekan attended Tufts University 1967 for the certification if Occupational Therapy. While working as Occupational therapist she maintained her love of learning. She was avid writer of stories, poetry and research. Her beloved cats gave her comfort and encouragement.

Bekan is predeceased by her parents F. Stratton Knox Jr. and Elizabeth B. Knox sister-in-law. Carol Knox and nephew Martin Knox. She is survived by her brothers Francis S. Knox 3rd.( Ted) and Benjamin H. Knox ( Ben) and sister Elizabeth K. Carlson (Beth). Ted's son is Jonathan who is engaged to Cathrine Erbacher. Jonathan's sons are Michael and Matthew who's is married to Katie.  Ted's daughter Rebecca( Becca) has Kevin Anderson as her partner. Ben's sons are Martin ( deceased) and Andrew who is married to Katrina ; there children are Sabrina, Ashlin and River. Beth and her husband Eric R. Carlson have  daughters Sarah and Elizabeth. Sarah who is married to Jeffrey Schneider and have Sidney and Evan Elizabeth and her husband Michael Nevedomsky have sons Michael and Matthew.
The  family would like to thank the Buddhist and Asperger's communities for their help and support given to Bekan.
