Obituary

Phyllis M. (Hyland) Mirabello – Of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. She was 76 years old.

Born and raised in Somerville, Phyllis was the beloved daughter of the late James Hyland and Anne (McCollum) Agri. A familiar and cherished face in the community, she spent over 30 years as a waitress at Jimmy's Steak House, where her warm spirit, quick wit, and infectious laughter made every customer feel like family. Phyllis had a special gift for making people smile and took pride in creating a welcoming and joyful dining experience for all who walked through the doors.

Outside of work, Phyllis found peace and happiness by the ocean. She treasured beach days. Relishing the feeling of sand between her toes, the warmth of the sun on her face, and a cool drink in hand. Her love for animals was another cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted advocate to furry friends of all kinds.

Beloved wife of Carl Mirabello. Devoted mother of Freddy Andella and his wife Stacey, Patrick Griffin and his wife Erin and the late David Griffin. Cherished grandmother of Amanda Andella and Charlie Andella, Patrick W. Griffin, Quinn Griffin and Noah Griffin. Dear sister of Elaine Shelton. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held for Phyllis, Friday evening, June 13, 2025, from 5:00 - 6:30, followed by a Prayer service at 6:30. Relatives and friends invited.
