Diligent, Philippe D. - Of Medford October 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Andre) Diligent.

Philippe Diligent was born on the 19th day of June in 1947 in Chantal, Haiti. He was the second of ten children born to Mr. and Ms. Meritius Diligent. While in Haiti, he was a middle school teacher and a mathematics tutor for twenty years. He later moved to the United States in 1982, leaving behind his wife and three children in search of a better life in the United States.. He would then reunite with his family and move to Boston in 1988. He worked hard to provide for his family. Unfortunately, in 2001, he lost his wife. Later, Philippe met and re-married to Jeanne D'Arc and had five children. Philippe was passionate about education. He continued to educate himself via college classes and self-teaching. Philippe enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching cultural movies, and spending time with his family. Philippe's spirit and determination sculpted his children into people of excellence and magnanimous character. Philippe's opinion, strong-mindedness, faith, and independence were a part of all he was and did. He had a huge heart and loved his family immensely. Philippe's love of education was inspirational to all who knew him. Unfortunately, Phillipe passed away on October 11, 2022.

Philippe Diligent is survived by his loving wife Jeanne D'Arc; his children Claudnys, Goretty, Goldini, Jemimah, Keziah, Keren, Myriam, Samuel-David; his grandchildren Malik, Nyiah, and Leah, Michael Preston, Symphony Lucielle, Richard, Journey, and Anthony. He is also survived by his siblings Beatrice Diligent Antoine, Pierre Diligent, Kety Diligent Mondesir, Martha Diligent Robert, Mart Yolette Diligent Louissaint, and Myrtho Diligent. Philippe leaves behind a lasting legacy and many friends and family .

Visiting hours Saturday October 29, 2022, 8:00am - 10:00, in the Missionary Church of the Haitian Community, 100 Temple St. Somerville. Funeral Service at 10:00. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
