Patricia Shelia Gray (Sutton) 85 of Revere formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2026 following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Pat was the loving wife of the late of Richard Gray of Somerville She was the adoring mother of Rita M Gray (Revere) Susan C Hargrove (Cambridge) and the late Richard E. Gray Jr. and the mother in law of the late Daniel C. Hargrove Pat. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Baylee G Flemming (Revere) and Daniel G Hargrove (Cambridge). Pat is preceded in death by her siblings Edward Sutton, Al Sutton, Marie Barrett, Ruth DeYoung Jerry Sutton and Paul Sutton. She also leaves behind in-laws, nieces and nephews and many dear friends who feel more like family.
Pat was born and raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge Rindge High School. While raising 3 children she worked as a waitress at several locations; the Old Ramada Inn in Fresh Pond, Fantasias, the Hilltop and the Holiday Inn in Somerville Later, Pat worked as an administrator for the Massachusetts State House, Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Oncology, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear and worked right through Covid until retirement.
She spent many summers on Hampton Beach, and was an active member of Somerville City club. She enjoyed live country concerts, family game nights and a good Hallmark movie. She will be deeply missed by many.
A funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House SQ.) Somerville, Friday morning at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 264 Washington St., Somerville at 10:00AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
Services will conclude with interment at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
