McAvoy, Nora T. (Morris)- Of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2023 at the Aberjona Nursing Home She was 84.

Born and raised in Eden Knock County Mayo, Ireland. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Nora (Costello) Morris.

She was the beloved wife of to the late Bernard H. McAvoy who passed in 2017. The devoted mother of Lynn Weeks and her husband Keith of Billerica, Brian McAvoy and his wife Tracy of Waltham, and Paul McAvoy of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Scott Weeks, Elizabeth and Kevin McAvoy, Brennan, and Patrick McAvoy. Cherished sister of Mary Behen of Nahant and her late husband Thomas, John Morris and his wife Rita of Eden Knock, County Mayo, Ireland, and the late Delia O'Malley, James Morris, Eileen Strudas. She was the sister-in-law of Mary Mahoney. She is also lovingly survived by many loving niece and nephews.

The family would like to thank Aberjona Nursing Home and Josh at Beacon Hospice for their care.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, July 3rd morning from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High ST., Medford at 11:30AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
