In Loving Memory of Nancy Leach (Morel) "HotLips"

November 13, 1960 - July 14, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, Nancy Leach (nee Morel), fondly known as "HotLips," on July 14, 2023, at the age of 62. Nancy, born on November 13, 1960, was a radiant soul who brightened our lives with her vibrant spirit and infectious energy.

Nancy was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her vivacious personality, coupled with her love for life, left an everlasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her trademark was her bright red lipstick, which perfectly reflected her bold and passionate nature.

As a devoted mother, Nancy's memory will forever be treasured by her loving family, including her children Bernadette Leach, Rodney Leach, and Jacquelyn De Souza and her six grandchildren Tyler, Vincent, Michael, Yzabella, AJ, and Lorenzo. They were her pride and joy, and her love for them knew no bounds. Nancy embraced her role as a mother and Nana with unwavering dedication and support, creating countless treasured memories filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt moments.Nancy is survived by her sisters, Maureen McCabe, Jeanne Crabtree, Susan Lohnes and her husband Bobby, and her "Little Brother" Thomas Morel and his wife Andrea.  She was pre-deceased by her parents Ellen M. and Eugene R. Morel, her oldest sister Kathleen Morel, and youngest brother, James (Jamie) Morel.

Nancy's spirit shone brightly in all aspects of her life. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the sun's warm embrace, finding solace in its gentle rays. With her captivating smile and vibrant personality, Nancy effortlessly drew people into her orbit, spreading warmth and positivity wherever she went.

Her home was a reflection of her zest for life. Nancy's style and ever-changing tastes were displayed in her passion for decorating. She would continuously move her furniture, creating new and exciting spaces that mirrored her dynamic personality. Her penchant for her "…and then there's me…" selfie-taking prowess was a joyful display of her fun-loving spirit.

Nancy's nickname, "HotLips," perfectly captured her fiery spirit and magnetic charm. Her laughter was infectious, filling any room with joy and happiness. With her quick wit and playful sense of humor, she had a knack for putting a smile on the faces of those around her. Though HotLips' physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her legacy of love, laughter, and zest for life will forever burn brightly in our hearts.

To celebrate Nancy's vibrant life, a visitation service will be held 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Doherty Funeral Home in Somerville, MA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the St. Clement Church, also in Somerville, MA.  Additionally, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Beachmont VFW, 150 Bennington St., Revere, MA, at 2:00pm following the funeral service. Please note that the VFW is cash-only. Friends, family, and all who were touched by Nancy's radiant presence are welcome to come together to share stories, memories, and laughs as we pay tribute to her extraordinary journey.

In honor of Nancy's passion for life, her family kindly requests that attendees wear a touch of bright red, symbolizing her vibrant spirit and love for all things bold and beautiful.

Rest peacefully, Mom, knowing that your vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing you. Your laughter and love will forever be etched in our hearts and memories.
