Mrs. Mildred H. (Perkins) Walker, of Somerville, passed away at the age of 101 on February 12, 2023. Born in Hampton, New Hampshire she was the daughter of the late Helen (Barbour) and George Perkins. Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Francis Walker.

Mildred was retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where she worked as a secretary for the Department of Commerce. Devoted to her family, Mildred enjoyed many summers spent at "The Farm" in Hampton, New Hampshire. She was a talented cook and baker, and her famous chocolate cakes will be missed at family birthdays and holidays.

Mildred was the devoted mother of Paul Walker and his wife Janet of Somerville and the late Robert Walker and his surviving wife Glenna of New Hampshire and the late Lawrence Walker and his surviving wife Rose of Whitensville, MA. Cherished "Grammie" and "Mimi" of eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Carl Perkins of Brookline.

Visiting Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday, February 16 ^th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at the Hampton Cemetery, High Street, Hampton, New Hampshire Thursday afternoon at 1:30PM.
