Tomeo, Mary E.(Marchio)- Of Sandwich, formerly of Somerville, passed away on July 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was 100 years young.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena (Rizzuto) Marchio.  Mary loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and if anyone had a family gathering, she would offer to cook one of her delicious meals. Mary's kind soul and gentle face will be greatly missed.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony B. Tomeo. Devoted mother of Thomas A. Tomeo of Saugus and his partner Nancy Menard of Malden, Susan Tomeo and her late husband Brian McCormack. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Tomeo and his wife Janine, Holly Gonsalves and her husband Carl, Ryan Knox and the late Jeffery Tomeo and his surviving wife Melissa. Cherished great grandmother of Carla and Kyle Gonsalves, John, Abigail and Allison Tomeo and great great grandmother of Caiden and Kyleigh Gonsalves. Sister of the late Anthony and Pasquale Marchio and Rose Everett. Loving mother in-law of the late Susan Tomeo.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Thursday, July 20th from 9:30 to 11:00AM.

A prayer services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00AM.

Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
