Obituary

Mark J. Boenisch, of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the age of 62. Mark lived life to the fullest, bringing joy to all who knew him with his passion for cars, sports, and the simple pleasures in life.

After graduating from high school, Mark earned his associate's degree and went on to become a skilled MRI technician. Throughout his career, Mark was known for his dedication and commitment to helping others. However, it was his love for cars that truly defined him. His pride and joy was his Camaro, and you could always find him in his driveway, either fixing it up or washing it to perfection. Mark's vehicles were always kept in pristine condition, a true testament to his meticulous nature and love for automobiles.

Mark was also an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for the New England Patriots. Whether the team was playing at home or on the road, Mark could be found in front of the TV, cheering them on as if he were right there in the stands. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love of golf and fishing, activities he cherished as ways to relax and enjoy time outdoors.

Mark's beloved dog, Teddy, was a constant source of joy in his life. He loved spending time with Teddy, playing and creating memories that will be forever cherished. Mark also enjoyed his music, finding comfort and happiness in the songs that filled his home.

Beloved partner of 10 years to Lucy Pacheco. Devoted son of Thea (Konopatsch) Boenisch. Cherished step-father of Matthew Pacheco and his wife Michelle, Nathan Pacheco, and Austin Pacheco and his partner Gianna.  Loving step-grandfather of Christopher Pacheco. Dear brother of Mike Boenisch and his wife Laura Golub-Boenisch, Pauline Boenisch-Fetters, Sophia Boenisch-Drewisch. Uncle of Alex Boenisch and his wife Ashley, and Jackie Boenisch. Great-uncle of Ames and Oliver Boenisch. Also lovingly survived by his uncle Gotfried Konopatsch and aunt Monica Konopatsch. Also survived by many loving friends.
