Marie Yva Clerge, of Somerville, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on October 31, 2023, she was 74. Born and raised in Arniquet, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Livie Larrame and Sonthonax Clerge.

Marie was a teacher in Haiti prior to immigrating to the United States. She came to the United States and settled in Somerville to raise her family. She was a retired Operations Information Systems Specialist with Harvard Extension School. Marie was a dedicated church member and firm believer.

The former wife of the late Pierre V. Doricent. Marie was the devoted mother of Lynda Doricent, Joey Yva Doricent, and Kaiser Vic-Louis Doricent. Cherished grandmother of Nathaniel Doricent-Hughes and Josiah Vic Doricent. Dear sister of Marie Lunie Zamir, Jean Yvon Clerge, Josephy Zamy, and the late Marie Liliane Jeune. She is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held in St. Ann Church, Somerville on Friday, November 10th from 9:00AM-10:00AM followed by her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Arlington.
