Teixeira, Maria (Valadao) Of Somerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday July 26, 2022. She was 81.

Born and raised in Praia da Vitoria, Portugal Azores to the late Manuel Ferraz-Valadao and Maria DaConceicao-Dejesus.

She was the beloved wife of 51 years to Paulo Teixeira. The devoted mother of Paula Teixeira of Somerville. Loving grandmother of Nelson. The dear sister of Envangelina Valadao of Portugal and Manuel Valadao of Portugal and the late Jose Valado.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Saturday August 13th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Ave., Cambridge , MA 02141 at 10:00AM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be Friday August 12th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

Services will conclude with Maria being laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery, Arlington.
