Marcelin Olivier of Medford, MA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday February 17th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, in Danvers, MA at the age of 87 years.

Born November, 23rd 1934 in Port au Prince, Haiti, he was the son of the late Marcel and Margot (Pardoviany) Olivier. Marcelin was a devoted family man of faith and was a hard worker. He had a career as a Health inspector in Haiti and later on as a Commuter rail inspector for the MBTA in Brookline, MA.

Marcelin had a passion for following sports, especially the Boston Celtic's and New England Patriots. His greatest enjoyment in life came from being a lovingly devoted father and grandfather. Always appreciating his family's presence, his love for music and home cooked meals. Marcelin kept his family grounded and supported with his calm, cheerful and strong demeanor.

Affectionately nicknamed Kennen by his mother and all who loved him, he was truly devoted to his children, whom he adored. His love for his family was endless, especially for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew him. Marcelin is survived by his 5 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews of the Olivier, Blemur, Raymond, Pardovani, Darius, Narcise, Carmin and Jean Baptiste families.
