Obituary

Luanne Reid Lombardo, of Medford, 69, passed away at home on Friday, March 28, 2025. Born in Boston and raised in Medford, MA, she later moved to New Hampshire to raise her children. Eventually, she returned to Medford to be closer to her family, where she lovingly cared for her mother, full-time. Luanne was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Reid and Bernadette (White) (Reid) Flynn and her late husband John "Jack" Fynn.

Luanne was the beloved mother of Jason Reid, Joseph Lombardo and his husband Anderson, Patricia "Tricia" Ellis and her husband Glenn, and Christina Lombardo and her husband Joe Logel. Devoted grandmother of Liam Ellis and eagerly anticipating the birth of her second grandson this June, a milestone she was looking forward to with great joy. Loving cousin whom she considered a sister, Debbie Merritt, sister of Brian Reid and the late Douglas Reid and Charles Reid.

Luanne was a woman of remarkable strength and intelligence, whose love knew no bounds. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth and affection, a reflection of the deep care she extended to everyone in her life. She had a strong passion for plants; with over 20 thriving plants around, her home was a true reflection of her love for gardening. Luanne had an amazing talent for nurturing anything green and eagerly passed this passion on to her kids, sharing all her knowledge about flowers, gardening, and the beauty of nature. This wisdom was a cherished gift from her grandmother, and she was more than happy to share it with anyone eager to learn!

Outspoken and direct, Luanne had a gift for creating humorous moments at the most unexpected times. She could always bring laughter, brightening the room with her sharp wit and sense of humor. She loved expressing her emotions through music, frequently sharing songs that held special meaning to her. Luanne could often be found playing online poker, proudly proclaiming she was the best damn poker player around. She loved recounting the achievements of her children, always with a sense of pride and admiration. Most of all, she cherished her grandson, Liam, and took great joy in their time together.

Luanne will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. To celebrate Luanne's vibrant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear bright, cheerful colors. However, please feel free  to dress in whatever makes you comfortable– your presence is what matters.
