DAUNHEIMER-Buckley, Kristen B. passed peacefully with her family by her side at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln MA on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of Matthew J. Buckley.

Loving mother of Susanna Wilson Buckley of Somerville.

She is also survived by her Mother Barbara Daunheimer of Newburyport and the late Edward Daunheimer.

Sister of Craig Daunheimer and his wife Mathea and their son Kurt of New Zealand, Sheri Daunheimer of Newburyport, MA.

Niece of Joan and Philip Hoyt of Lunenburg, MA and Dorothy Scruton of Chicopee, MA, and cousins Daniel Scruton and Gayle Booth of Palmer, MA, and Diane Pisko of Sunderland, MA.

Visiting hours in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Wednesday evening 4:00 - 7:00.

A Funeral Service will be held in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 929 Concord Turnpike (Rt.2) Arlington, Thursday morning at 11:00.

Kristen was a multi-sport athlete and a champion swimmer, like her daughter Susie.  She lettered in swimming at the University of Maine, Orono.  She worked, most recently, as an Executive Assistant at Forma Therapeutics and identified strongly with their mission of developing drugs and treatment for underserved populations. Kristen and her husband Matt lived in Somerville throughout their relationship and marriage.  They had a wonderful life together.  Kristen was very proud of their daughter Susie and thoroughly enjoyed attending her many activities in swim, crew and concerts with the Boston Children's Choir.  Kristen was also a Girl Scout leader through which she and Susie had great adventures and made lifelong friendships.  Kristen was a beautiful, down-to-earth, wonderful woman who brought laughter and joy wherever she went.  She will be greatly missed
