Kevin J.
Rymwid-Mickiewicz
Jul 23, 1992 — Aug 14, 2025
Kevin Rymwid-Mickiewicz – Of Putnam, CT, passed away after a courageous battle with sarcoma cancer on Thursday, August 14, 2025. He was 33 years young.
Born in White Plains, NY, he was the beloved son of Elizabieta (Petrykiewicz) and Jacek Rymwid-Mickiewicz.
Beloved fiancé of Caitlin Kearney. Devoted father of Cole Rymwid-Mickiewicz. Cherished brother of Sylvia Nassy and her husband Martin, Andrzej Rymwid-Mickiewicz and his wife Ewa. Loving uncle of Annalise and Ellianna Nassy. Also, lovingly survived by the mother of his son Rebecca Remillard and many loving friends, cousins and extended family members.
Kevin graduated from Monadnock Regional High School and went on to attend Universal Technical Institute, where he earned his Automotive and Diesel Industrial certification — a career path that combined his skill, drive, and love for all things automotive. He later advanced his career and became a service manager, where he was admired for his leadership, dedication, and deep knowledge of the field.
Kevin had a lifelong passion for cars. He loved working on them, building them with friends, and took pride in every detail — always striving to make something better, faster, or more unique. He found peace on the water, boating on the lake with the sun overhead and the breeze on his face.
Adventurous and full of life, Kevin found joy riding his motorcycle, always searching for new roads and places to explore. He was never happier than when he was outdoors — hiking, wandering, and taking in the quiet beauty of the world around him.
Kevin was also a skilled billiards player and a thoughtful collector of antique firearms. He had many passions, but his greatest was his family. Being a father meant everything to him. He took immense pride in his son and loved watching him grow into the incredible person he is today.
He cherished time spent with loved ones — his family, his close-knit circle of friends, and especially his fiancée, Caitlin. She was his rock, his constant, and the love of his life. Through his most difficult times, she stood by his side with unwavering strength and love, offering support that never wavered.
Calling hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday, August 29th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 6:30PM.
