Kevin V. Kirkland, age 62, of Staten Island, passed away on May 25th following ongoing health complications.

Kevin worked for Matrix Applications LLC for more than 20 years, where he was known for his dedication and years of service.

Kevin loved reading books and comics, enjoyed many types of music, and was an avid collector and hobbyist. He especially enjoyed building shelves to display his collections. Kevin also looked forward to his annual trips to Boston to visit his friend Sheila, enjoy his favorite seafood, and spend time with friends there.

He will be remembered by those who knew him and is survived by his wife, Hope; daughter, Cameron Cheyenne; father, Tedd Shelton; sister, Tonya Kirkland; and brothers, Darren Shelton, Donnell Shelton, and Bryan Shelton; along with other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Kirkland.
