John J. Sheehan, of Medford and Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on October 19, 2023, he was 75. Born and raised in Somerville he was the son of Eileen E. (Walsh) and John J. Sheehan. He was a graduate of St. Clement High School and went on to further his studies at St. Anselm College and received his doctorate from Suffolk Law School.

A prominent local attorney, John maintained his practice in Davis Sq. Somerville for over 40 years. He is the beloved husband of Patricia (O'Hare) Sheehan, together they enjoyed many years of traveling. An avid golfer, John and Patricia also enjoyed memberships at the Winchester Country Club and Quail Ridge Country Club in Florida. In earlier years he was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company, Somerville Kiwanis and the Mid Ocean Club Bermuda.

In addition to his beloved wife Patricia, John is survived by his dear brother; Thomas P. Sheehan and his wife Janet of North Andover, his brothers-in law James and Thomas O'Hare, both of Somerville, his sisters-in-law; Maureen Mathews of Waltham and Rita Hardy of West Yarmouth and several cherished nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Clement Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
