Merlino, John of Saugus, formerly of Somerville, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2022. He was 72.

Born and raised in Somerville. He was the son of the late Ignacio and Eugenia (Fulmini) Merlino.

John was the beloved husband of 35 years to Margaret A. McMahon-Merlino. He was the devoted father of Matthew Merlino of Saugus, Jessie Merlino of Somerville, Derek McMahon of North Andover and the late Erin McMahon. The loving brother of Robert "Bob" Merlino and his wife Eileen of Florida, and the late Jean Merlino. The cherished uncle of Robert "Robbie" and Steven Merlino.

Calling hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Thursday, May 5 ^th from 3 to 6:30 PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

A Prayer Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 6:00 PM.
