Gourgoumis
Jun 24, 1944 — Jan 27, 2024
Gourgoumis, John J. - Of Saugus, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was 79.
Born in Cassandra, Greece and raised in Somerville. He was the son of the late James and Katrine (Simonis) Gourgoumis.
John enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, weather it was tending to his beloved yard or just sitting outside enjoying the whether. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his beloved wife Carol. On his down time, you could hear him singing, playing the guitar, or if there was a Bruins game on, him cheering them on from the other room. John was an avid car guy. He always kept his cars looking in showroom condition. John enjoyed to cook but was known to be the "Grill Master" in the family. John's love and presence will be missed by all whom he known.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Carol (Perotti) Gourgoumis. Devoted father of James Gourgoumis of Lynn, and Connie Guerriero and her husband James of Saugus. Cherished grandfather of Katie and Kristina. Loving great-grandfather of Gaetano, Lorenzo, and Vincenzo. Cherished brother of George Gourgoumis and Dessi DeVito and her husband Robert. Dear brother-in-law of Ronald Perrotti wife Doreen. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
