Joel "Joe" Charles of Lynn, Ma passed away on January 8, 2025, he was 70 years old. Born and raised in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.  Later in his life, Joe moved to the United States where he became a United States Citizen.

Joe was the cherished son of the Lestomise Charles and Philippe Charles. Joe was a deacon at his Church "Church of God of The Saved" where he was loved and cherished by everyone around him.

Joe was a dedicated employee at Tufts Dining for 36 years. When asked for help, Joe never said no to anyone. Joe was a very hard-working employee.

Joe was the beloved husband of Marie Elita Colas Charles and the devoted father of Jashawn Charles and Jessica Charles. Dear brother of Hugues Charles, Gerard Charles and Immaniel Charles.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday, January 24 from 6:00-8:00 Pm

Funeral service will be held in the Missionary Church of the Haitian Community 100 Temple St, Somerville, MA 02145 with open Casket at 7:00-9:00AM. Followed by a Prayer Service at 9:00 AM.

Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Service will conclude with a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
