Joanna M. (Kennedy) DiVasta of Somerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 14, 2022.  Born and raised in Somerville. She was 79.

She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore DiVasta for 59 yrs.  The devoted mother of Denise and her husband Carmen Sacco, Jr. of Somerville, Doreen DiVasta of Tewksbury and Laura and her husband James Coleman of Medford. Cherished Nana of Cameron Sacco.  Beloved grandmother to her children's four-legged fur babies. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She loved going to the casinos and enjoyed camping at Old Stage Campground in Madbury, NH for over 40 yrs.  She looked forward to family gatherings, doing puzzles, reading books, eating chocolate and shopping till she dropped.

She was a former employee of the Somerville Public Schools.
