Janice Joy Weiner, age 71, originally from Skokie Illinois, passed away in Boston on Thursday February 10, 2022, after a very long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She was a graduate of Evanston Township High School and graduated from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a B.A. She lived in Chicago, Iowa, Kansas, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

Jan was employed at the University of Connecticut as a staffer in the English Department during the 1980s and later became an assistant to the librarian at Harvard University's Widener Library a few years later.

She lived a life sacrificing for others and remained alive as long as she could in order to give those close to her an opportunity to avoid her loss. Her quick wit and sarcastic personality was never fully taken from her by M.S., nor was her passion for reading horror novels.

She is survived by her husband Albert Prager, son Ian Bayne (and wife Carolyn), sister Ileen Weiner-Paden, and brother Richard Weiner.

Jan's passion was those she loved and supporting them in whatever they decided to do. She was truly a gift from God.
