James A. ''Jim" Donnellan, III, of Somerville, passed away on November 19
th
2022, he was 73 years old. Born in Quincy, but raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Marjorie (Riley) and James A. Donnellan, Jr. Graduate of Arlington Catholic High School and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he resided in New York City for several years, crossing paths with the famous and near famous, while working in varied professions including soap opera actor, doorman, bartender, and salesman. After New York, Jimmy lived in Los Angeles for brief time before returning home to Somerville, where he worked for several years for the US Postal Service, and most recently at Harvard University.
Jim was the beloved brother of Paul Donnellan, Robert Donnellan of York, Maine, Richard Donnellan, John "Jack" Donnellan and his wife Cheryl of Arlington. Proud uncle and great uncle to Justin Donnellan and his wife Mindy of Nashville, TN, Corey Donnellan and his wife Emily, Leo Donnellan and Selena Donnellan of Davenport, FL, Lauren Duane and her husband Patrick of Richmond, VA, Shannon Donnellan of Arlington, and Jacqueline Donnellan of Boston. Brother-in-law of the late Laurie (Manter) Donnellan.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, June 10th at Saint Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine.
Services will conclude with interment at First Parish Cemetery, 180 York Street (Rte. 1A), York, Maine
Relatives and friends are invited to a reception immediately following at the Inn on the Blues, 7 Ocean Ave, York Beach, Maine (Parking across street in Short Sands Beach Lot.) Casual dress or Hawaiian shirts are suggested.
