Sweeney, Helen M. (Grinnell) Of Somerville, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76.

She was born in Boston to the late Charles and Rose (Lambrecht) Grinnell. Helen was an avid shopper who loved a good bargain. Everyone benefited from her shopping, especially her grandson, Max.  She loved to spend time with her family and loved to cook the feasts for the holidays.  She was known for her famous mac and cheese that was passed down from her mother.  After her retirement from Partners Healthcare, she spent time socializing at the Medford Senior Center.   She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of 52 years to the late Francis (Frank) G. Sweeney, who passed away in 2021; the devoted mother of Kevin F. Sweeney of Somerville; Kerry L. Sweeney of Merrimack, NH; and Kristen C. Krakofsky and her husband, Michael, of Tewksbury.  She was the loving Nana to Max Krakofsky.  She is also survived by her two sisters, Marjorie Silva of Hanson, MA and Jean Ray of Walpole, MA, and her many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
