Frank Richardson Jr., 63, of Medford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home on June 16, 2025.
Born on February 27, 1962, in Boston, Frank was the son of the late Frank R. Richardson Sr. and Elizabeth (Broderick) Richardson. A lifelong resident of Medford, spending summers with his family in Littlefield Village, Ogunquit, ME. A place he truly loved.
Frank shared his life with his beloved wife, Julie (Powers) Richardson. Together they built
a family that brought him immense pride and joy. He was father to Matthew Powers and Keith Richardson and a cherished Papa to Matty and Brynn Powers and Andrew Stella. He is also survived by his sister Maureen as well as his nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Medford High Vocational School, Frank went on to be owner of Arlington Glass and Screen. He enjoyed meeting new people and serving the local community with dedication and made many friends along the way.
A classic muscle car enthusiast, Frank had a lifelong passion for American automotive history. His appreciation for craftsmanship and design was evident in his love for these iconic vehicles—a passion that reflected both his attention to detail and enduring curiosity.
Frank's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
A funeral procession will commence from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, located at 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) in Somerville, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 9:00am. This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Raphael Church in Medford at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
In lieu of flowers please take a loved one out to dinner.
