O'Brien, Francis M.- Of Cambridge, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was 68.

Born in Boston and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Paul A. and Mary F. (Hardy) O'Brien.

Beloved father of Kerri O' Brien of Stoneham, formerly of Malden, Michael O'Brien and his partner Sabrina Zikianda of Malden. Devoted grandfather of Kayla, Tess and August. Cherished brother of Mary Daley and her husband Richard "Doc" of Somerville, Patricia O'Brien and her husband Edward of Somerville, Paul O'Brien and his wife Deborah of Pepperell, Gerry Balcom and her husband Gary of Billerica and the late John and William O'Brien. Dear friend and former wife Holly ( Van Stry) O' Brien. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, on Wednesday, October 11th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated at St. Clement Church, 64 Warner St., Somerville at 10:00AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
