Eileen Gail (O'Hare) Barry, passed away at her Somerville home on October 31, 2024, she was 74. Born and raised in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Bradley) and Thomas F. O'Hare.

Known by many as "Gail", she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and worked as an archivist for the City of Boston for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late Lamont W. Barry.

Gail was the cherished and devoted mother of Lamont Barry and his partner Jackie Nardella of Malden and their chihuahua, Liam aka The Freen, who brought her lots of joy. She enjoyed taking him for walks and time spent at the dog park. She was the loving sister of Thomas O'Hare and his wife Jackie of Jaffery Center, NH, beloved sister of Linda Testa of New Fairfield, CT and the late James and Dawn O'Hare. Gail was the dear aunt of Libby, Michael and Jim O'Hare, and Great Aunt to Thomas and Grace O'Hare. She will be remembered for her great Irish wit and sense of humor.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday morning at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford Street, Somerville at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4PM – 7PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
