Dat Van Nguyen- Of Lynn passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. He was 75 years old. Born in Vietnam, he was the beloved son of the late Tot Van Nguyen and Loi Thi Nguyen.

Dat was a hardworking and talented handyman who truly enjoyed fixing and building things. Whether he was working on his car or taking on a new project around the house, he always kept himself busy with his hands. He took great pride in his work and found joy in accomplishing tasks on his own.

Dat also cherished his peace and quiet. He appreciated life's simple moments and enjoyed the comfort of home and the calmness that surrounded him. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, independence, and quiet strength.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Bong Thi Le. Devoted father of Loan Nguyen, Trinni Nguyen, David Nguyen, Timmy Nguyen, Lilyvan Nguyen and Lina Le. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Also lovingly survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday, May 15th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church 64 Warner St. Medford at 10:00AM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.

Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
