Constance "Connie" M. Nuzzo of Somerville passed away on June 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was in the constant care of her family and friends.
Connie leaves her devoted family and a very large and treasured community of friends. She was a valued, empathetic, helpful and giving friend. Connie was also committed to a kinder and just world, always lifting up others. She believed in and worked for a fair and just world.
Connie was born in and lived her entire life in Somerville. She enjoyed her friends in the apartment on Warren St, they were her house family.
Connie is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Lucille affectionately known as LuLu as well as her younger brother Ricky. She is survived by her family, Carol, Anthony, Eddie and Christine. Also her cherished niece Michelle, her husband Andy Baker and her adorable grandnephew Jordan. who called her Suzie.
Connie had many childhood friends, work friends from Somerville City Hall and Harvard University. She was known for her hard work, kindness and humor. Connie always enjoyed her travel and adventures with her family and friends. She will be remembered with love always.
A funeral procession will commence from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, located at 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) in Somerville, on Saturday morning at 9:00AM. This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church in Stoneham at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are scheduled for Friday, June 20th, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Connie's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a charity of your choice.
