Charles M. "Chuck" Kakles, passed away suddenly at his Somerville home on May 26, 2023, he was 76. Born in Boston, and raised in Somerville Chuck was a lifelong resident. Devoted son of the late Nora (Reardon) and Nicholas C. Kakles.

In earlier years, Chuck was a talented carpenter and later specialized in roofing. A hard worker, Chuck will be remembered as a gentle soul, who never wanted to be a burden on anyone.

He is survived by his brother, Nicholas C. Kakles, Jr. and his sister, Donna E. (Kakles) Brown both of Malden. Dear Uncle of Nicholas Kakles, III, David Kakles, the late Bernard J. "Bernie" Brown, III, Christopher P. Brown and Wendy Brown. Great-Uncle of the late David Kakles, Carissa Kakles, Arianna Kakles, Cassandra Kakles, Olivia Brown and Ruby Giarratano.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Saturday morning, June 10th from 9:00AM - 10:30AM followed by a Prayer Service offered by Father Brian McHugh at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment will be private.
