Semerzier, Carolus- Of Cambridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 8, 2023. He was 87 years old.

Carolus Semerzier, known by his children and grandchildren as Papa! Closed his eyes for the last time with his children around him on Saturday April 8, 2023 at 1:00PM!

Carolus has a moving story for those of you who did not know him. He was all about family, he was born in Ansed'hainault, Haiti, of SaintJuste Semerzier and Dercilia Edmond, 3rd of a family of 6. He had served in the Haitian army for 8 years and emigrated to the states in 1978,his  primary goal was to provide a better life for his family as a whole And he dedicated his whole life for just that, and boy did he succeed? Yes he did!!! He single-handedly brought them all to US!!

He is survived by a wife:Andrea Semerzier And 8 children(adults now) : Gina, Marjorie, Patrick, Oberto, Guerlince, Sherline, Lourdine, Nadege and one adopted son that he cherished as well as his biological ones: Joel Semerzier He is also survived by 2 brothers: Salomon and Andre(Haiti)Semerzier, and one sister: Cecile Semerzier. He was the Papa to 15 grandchildren who loved him dearly: Rugerry, Jayden, Brian, Jevanie, Andrew, Kassy, Nathan, Sagine, Derrick, Jaielle, Sebastian, Sarah, Jayda, Achard and Noah!

Carolus was dearly loved by all family members who had came to know him particularly well, his nephews and nieces: Dercile, Lumina, Guy, Paul Anderson, Maguy, Pierrot, Faddy, Carlo, Guirlene, Evens, Christine, Samuel, Manouchka, Nicole, Roselore, Loubert, Jameson, Serge to name a few!! And several cousins and friends!! SING,SING for he is happily resting !

A Prayer Service will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, on Saturday April 22nd at 10:00AM. A visitation will be held that morning from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. Livestream:

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 21st from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

Services will conclude with burial at Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge.
