Bernadette Jean-Pierre - Of Somerville passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026. She was 67 years young.

Bernadette's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her beloved children and granddaughter and found immense happiness in watching them grow, succeed, and achieve their goals. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she expressed her love through her cooking, often preparing delicious meals that brought her family together around the table. Seeing the smiles on their faces was one of her life's greatest rewards.

Bernadette also enjoyed shopping and was always on the lookout for a good bargain. Whether she was searching for a new outfit, something special for her home, or the perfect gift for a loved one, she took great pleasure in finding just the right item; especially if it was on sale. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed relaxing with crossword puzzles, keeping her mind active and sharp.

She was the beloved mother of Jessica Jean-Pierre, Sara Mathieu, James Gracien Cherished and loving grandmother of Aaliyah. Dear sister of Wesner Gracien, Antoine Gracien, Cecile Gracien, and Mark Guillaume. And an aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Monday, July 6th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Interment will be private.

In honor of Bernadette, the family enourages everyone to wear yellow since it was her favorite color.
