Silva, Anthony A. " Tony" - Of Somerville, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. He was 64.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Joseph Silva and Maria Rodriques. Tony was a coach for many years for many local sports teams. His caring personality was always a warm embracing feeling whenever he met someone. Tony's death did not stop his caring demeanor, but he saves three people's lives being an organ donor.

Beloved father of Marie Silva of Tewksbury formerly of Somerville.  Cherished best friend and former husband of Michelle Silva of Tewksbury. Loving brother of Jamie Silva of Burlington and Lisa Bernardo of Westford. Dear brother in-law of Carol Hancock and John Hancock both of Somerville and the late Joel Hancock. Caring step-son of Sylvanna Silva. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral procession will be held on Saturday, December 16th from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 885 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville at 10:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville at 11:00AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be on Friday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.

Interment will be private.
