Tkaczuk, Anita L. Of Somerville,  passed away after a brief illness with her family by her side on August 17, 2022. She was 57.

Born in Boston and raised in Somerville. Anita was the loving daughter of the late Paul L. and Emily R. (Novella) Tkaczuk. Anita was a Somerville Crossing guard for over 10 years. She would always greet the kids with with a large smile and a friendly hello. She was well known to all of the students and parents of the area. Anita was a love of all animals.

Beloved wife of Louis Bernardo. Loving sister of Paul Tkaczuk and his wife Susan of Stoneham and his family, Edward Tkaczuk of Malden and Rosalie Leininger and her husband Gary Somerville. Cherished aunt of Shannon of Winchester and Megan of Somerville.  She was the great aunt of 5. Also survived by many loving cousins and extended family members.

A funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Monday August 22 ^nd at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St. Somerville at 10:00AM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be held Sunday August 21 ^st from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.

Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden
