Addolorata "Dolores"
Fedele
Oct 12, 1940 — Aug 23, 2023
Fedele, Addolorata (Biasella) "Dolores" - , Of Somerville, passes away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 23, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 82.
Born and raised in Cutoni, a village in the province of Isernia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Giovanna (Collantuani) Biasella. From a young age, Addolorata took on the role of a mother figure for all the younger kids in the village. As she got older and had a family of her own, this maternal role came naturally to her. Her deep love and caring nature were seen daily throughout her life. Giving handfuls of fresh herbs and vegetables, a quiet moment, a prayer—with good deeds small and large, she was always there for family, friends, and neighbors. She loved to cook large, delicious meals. It brought a smile to her face whenever friends and family were together, chatting and laughing over her feasts at the table. Addolorata had loved nature since her time as a child in Italy, especially beautiful flowers. She grew many in her gardens alongside the fruits, vegetables, and herbs that she tended to in Argentina and America. She was also a talented seamstress. Dolores made many of her own gowns and clothing for special occasions. She enjoyed hosting holidays and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She would always tell others how proud she was to be their nona. Addolorata was more than just a mom; she was a mother to all whom she knew. Her legacy is carried on by all that she touched with her kindness. Addolorata's loving kindness and generosity of spirit was something everyone who knew about her, and treasured the most. She was always loving and supportive of family and friends. Her heart and door were always open. She lived her life by example showing that her faith in God and her family kept her strong.
Beloved wife of Lorenzo Fedele. Devoted mother of Claudio Fedele and his wife Gayle of Somerville and Anthony A. Fedele and his wife Melanie of North Andover. Loving nona of Emily and Owen Fedele, and Alex, Angelo, Sofia, and Mariana Fedele. Cherished sister of Michael Biasella and his wife Nina, Rose Cutone and her husband Alfredo, Anthony Biasella and Damiano Biasella and his wife Maria, and the late Theresa Biasella and the late Nicholas Biasella and his wife Licia. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
